Do I need a prescription to purchase the products VetAmerica carries?
Only on the pharmacy items. Most of the products we carry are over-the-counter medications and they do not require a prescription.

Do I need a veterinarian to recommend or prescribe the products VetAmerica carries?
Only on the pharmacy items. Since the majority of the items we carry are OTC (over the counter) you may buy them without a prescription. However, ideally they should be recommended by your veterinarian. Your veterinarian has a unique doctor- patient relationship with your pet and nothing can beat that. Your veterinarian will be able to recommend the best possible products for your pet and also answer all your questions about any product.

Are the products VetAmerica carries the same products I purchase from my veterinarian?
Yes. Rest assured that each and every product we sell is exactly like the one you would purchase from your veterinarian. In addition, all of our products are kept in climate controlled rooms, and are packaged and shipped especially for you when you place your order. Also, since we sell thousands of different products each day, our inventory is constantly rotating and this provides all of our customers with the freshest products available.

Why are your prices lower than my veterinarian's?
There are many reasons why we have lower prices, here are a few:
- VetAmerica purchases all of our products in large quantities, which allows us to receive discounts, and pass those on to our customers.
- VetAmerica is operated by people with many years of experience in the veterinary, mail order and internet business. We use our resources in order to keep our operating costs down, and in turn pass those savings on to our customers.

How long will my order take to arrive?
All orders placed before 2:00 PM Eastern Time will be shipped on the same day. Orders placed after 2:00 PM Eastern Time or on weekends and holidays will ship on the next business day.
We make every effort to have each product in stock at all times, however in the event that a product is on backorder, or the product is discontinued, we will contact you by phone or e-mail with additional options.
We offer three shipping options:
Standard Ground Service - Will take 3-7 days to arrive
Express Shipping option - Will take 2-3 days to arrive
Overnight Shipping option - Will take 1-2 days to arrive

Why am I asked to enter my credit card's CCV code and what is it?
When entering your credit card information in our secure online order form, you will now be asked to enter the 3 digits on the back of your credit card. This is called a CCV code and is the newest tool to help us battle online fraud. By entering these numbers you are telling us that you have your credit card in your possession. It also eliminates people using your credit card without your permission.

How are my products shipped?
VetAmerica reserves the right to choose the best carrier for your order. However, your products will arrive by either UPS, FedEx or the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Does VetAmerica endorse or recommend any products?
VetAmerica does not recommend or endorse any product. We recommend your pet visit the veterinarian for any problems or concerns you may have. Your veterinarian is the most qualified person to recommend any product and offer advice, since he has a unique doctor-patient relationship with your pet.
